Jesus Calls Us By Name

One of the first things I ever learned about life as a young man is how important a person’s name is. When someone speaks your name, it becomes personal.

That has stayed with me all these years.

And every Easter, I’m reminded that one of the most powerful moments in all of Scripture came down to one word. A name.

“Mary.”

On that first Easter morning, Mary Magdalene was heartbroken. Like the disciples, she was grieving, confused, and overwhelmed with sorrow. The One she had followed, loved, and believed in had been crucified. Everything must have felt lost.

Then she came to the tomb.

When she saw Jesus, she didn’t recognize Him at first. But then He spoke just one word:

“Mary.”

That was all it took.

In that moment, everything changed. Hope came alive. Faith was restored. Darkness gave way to light. And Mary became the first person to carry the testimony of the risen Christ.

For over 30 years, I’ve heard that same miracle happen again and again through Christian radio. Someone hurting, discouraged, lonely, or even on the edge of giving up “just happens” to turn on the radio, scan the dial, or hear a song at just the right moment—and suddenly, something happens deep inside.

Why?

Because Jesus is still revealing Himself to people.

He is still calling men and women by name.

And when He does, lives change.

That is the real power behind every song, every testimony, every message of hope we share. It’s not just music. It’s not just programming. It’s not just media.

It is the voice of Jesus Christ still reaching people today.

Thank you for helping us carry His voice across the airwaves, across digital platforms, and now across the world through our online testimony ministry  ComeOnLetsGo.

Happy Easter — and thank you for helping us make it personal.
