After surviving the horrors of combat in Iraq, he returned home consumed by rage, suicidal thoughts, and a deep loss of identity despite having a loving family, successful career, and comfortable life. After years of medications, hospitalizations, and desperate attempts to end his life, he encountered the story of Jesus through Messianic prophecy and finally experienced a peace no medication or therapy had given him. Through faith in Christ, he found a new identity, reconciliation with his children, and a sense of wholeness.

After growing up with little connection to God and believing he didn't need Him, Shawn found himself facing the heartbreak of divorce and the possible end of his marriage.
