There was a chemical imbalance in my wife’s body that kept us from being able to have children. Due to that issue, we knew that we couldn’t have children on our own. Anytime we tried to do things on our own, we would remain barren. For ten years this went on until during a time of praise and worship at our church, the Spirit of God fell. There was a man in whom we have great faith and confidence when it comes to hearing a message from the Lord. He told us that he had heard the Lord say my wife was going to have a child. We took that as a word from the Lord.

When we heard that, you would have thought that we were pregnant right then. We felt a confirmation in our heart that this was going to be a son and that we should name him Judah, which means “praise.” Three years before he was conceived, we made a framed graphic of his name and gave one to my mother and to hers. We told them to put it on their fireplace mantles and thank God for Judah every time they looked at it. For three years we looked at that framed name and said, “We believe in Your promise. We’re going to do what you tell us to do at the time you tell us to do it.” We knew that all this was going to have to be by faith. When the doctor finally confirmed that it was a boy, we knew it was Judah. I know that praise births praise and nothing can take your praise away.
